There were 5 brothers and sisters meeting in Justin's office without A/C.
We shared how we have been tranned Disciple.....
Jesus' Disciple part II:
Multiplication is much more powerful than addition. It wasn't enough for Jesus to merely teach his disciples about the Kingdom, but it was imperative they learn to tell others also.
A quick look through the Acts of the Apostles shows the disciples understood that Jesus' intentions were for them to multiply not simply add on. If a disciple were to win one convert a month and add them to the church without discipling them 12 people would be added to the church. If each convert were discipled how to lead another to Christ and disciple them to do the same then they began to make disciples like Jesus did.
In Acts 6:1 “...the number of the disciples was multiplied...” Then in Acts 9:31 “...the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria... were multiplied.” That is what “church” is about. Church is not a professional minister cheered on by spectator members. It should be discipling and training everyone for ministry, or “discipleship.”
Discipleship is a ministry of developing deeply spiritual friendships focused on teaching biblical truth, applying Scripture to life, and learning to solve problems biblically. To make disciples requires time and personal involvement like Jesus' ministry to his disciples. Jesus didn't say, “If you have a chance, please make some disciples.” No, he is much more direct, “Go! Make disciples!” Making disciples is our life! Are we disciples of Jesus? Are we making disciples as he told us to? Are we multiplying?
